Silent Irish Distilleries Tasting

We have a fantastic tasting line-up for September. Arne Gadegast and the rest of the bottle committee have been working hard on sourcing bottles from closed distilleries that have fallen silent on the island of Ireland. This will truly be a once in a lifetime chance to taste some of these unicorn whiskeys. 

Chris Hennessy will join us again to present the flight. Chris is Head Bartender at The Dylan Whiskey Bar in Kilkenny, the recreator of AquaVitae and all round whiskey anorak, so he'll be in great company on the night!

The incredible flight of whiskeys on the night will be:

  • Old Irish Gold 24yr old (70's German bottling of reportedly old DWD)
  • 1970's Powers from John's Lane Distillery in Dublin
  • Paddy 10yr old from Old Midleton Distillery
  • 1950's Kilbeggan Locke's Crock from Brusna Distillery
  • 1980's Old Comber 30yr old pure pot still from Comber Distillery
  • 1920's Corbett's 15yr old Special Liqueur from The Distillers Coy, Belfast
  • Plus 2 modern silent Irish distilleries to be revealed on the night!
