It seems like the most obvious thing in the world: beer barrel aged whiskeys that invite the aromatic notes of a well-made beer into your favourite whiskey. Yet there was a time, not so long ago, when this type of whiskey was non-existent.
Not only have we put together a varied selection of beer-casked whiskeys for you to sample, we have also commandeered the assistance of Blacks Brewery of Kinsale to supply us with a fine array of craft beers as suitable pairings on the night.

Blacks Brewery was the brainchild of Sam and Maudeline Black, a husband and wife team who founded their successful brewing company in 2013. Sam, a fellow Cork Whiskey Society member, and Maudeline have, in recent years, developed their Kinsale facility with the addition of a distillery. We predict a great whiskey in the future!

TASTING PACK COLLECTION
Your tasting pack will be available as a socially distant pick-up on the morning of Saturday 19th September.
Committee members will distribute tasting packs, to registrants, on Saturday 19th September from 10:30 to 12:30 on Victoria Road (across from Goldbergs pub).
Once received, please resist the urge to sample immediately. You can then join this tasting online via Zoom @ 7:45 pm on Friday 25th September.
