Sat 20th July Session 1 @ Crawford & Co, Anglesea Street, Cork city

Cork Whiskey Society members have again been invited to take part in judging the 2019 Irish Whiskey awards. We encourage you, as a valued member, to judge at least one category in these awards.

This will be the first of two blind tasting/judging events at Crawford & Co in Anglesea Street where, as well as a choice selection of beverages, they serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, sandwiches and groceries. Please note that each member will be given a €10 food voucher, to enjoy the fine food fare at Crawford & Co on the day.

Expert knowledge is not necessary to be a judge - quite simply pick your favourite from a selection of whiskey samples. Spittoons will be provided.

Spaces are limited and we encourage members to attend at least one session  (Session 2 will be Thursday 1st August @ 5pm in the same venue). A number of whiskey categories (e.g. Pot Still, Malts, Grains etc.) will be divided, and judged, over the two sessions.

Further categories relate to Irish Whiskey Bar of the Year, International Irish Whiskey Bar of the Year, and Munster, Leinster, Connacht and Ulster Whiskey Bar of the Year. In due course we will communicate more on the judging of these categories.
